Going to drop the civic, any tips!
So I am going to lower the civic this week, and I think I have everything I need. Are there any tips or suggestions from you who have done this already? Like how low is to low? The kit came with two longer collars and two shorter collars; do the longer ones go in the back? Where is a good degree to set the camber kit to start at? Do I need spring compressor or is it possible to stand on the spring and use an air gun? I am open to any help I can get! Thanks for your time!
agree with above bought a similar set for a car i sold just to make it more attractive and it rode like **** i would sell that and buy a better kit if thats a car u plan on keeping for a while
Chorizo knows what's up. All that stuff is no good unless paired with a good set of shocks. Try some illuminas. Great shock absorbed for the price.
Also, like stated above...get an alignment. Number #1 mistake is slamming the cars and blaming the tire wear on the camber. Toe kills tires way before camber does. Also, invest in new bushings before anything else.

A big issue I see with your post is the question about using a spring compressor or not.
USE A SPRING COMPRESSOR!!
Standing on it and using an air gun will only get you or someone else hurt.

Sell that stuff because ebay is not an auto parts store, replace bushings, get great shocks, spring compressors are free to rent at autozone so why not, and shop alignment is not an option it is a requirement. All that stuff will be worn out before you have money to replace it with quality parts.
