tachometer and Spedometer meters jumping +

tachometer and Spedometer meters jumping +
Today the Tachometer and Speedometer meters started jumping from zero to midway. Also, the car's clock flashes on and off. Honda Accord, 96. Does anyone have ideas of why this is happening?
