Have a 94 del sol i just picked up and for some reason the speedo dont work i already bought a speed sensor and no ciggar dont know what else did clean clips and took out cluster and unclipped and clipped everything still nothing could it just be bad speedometer?

 

the pick ups on the part were the clips clip into the cluster might need cleaned. Try using a small microfiber cloth and wiping them down, then pull them up a little bit so there is 100% contact with the clip. I had this issue in my 96 Ex civic, and that fixed it. If that doesn't fix it, replace the speedo. There are ways to get the mileage to be the same, but....yeah. Im not going to get in trouble for telling you how to do something thats illegal. Reguardless, if its not working and your driving the car, the mileage will be off because the ODO wont work if the Speedo isnt reading. Yay for mileage discrepancies!!!

 

Check continuity of VSS wiring, and check for power before replacing the sensor.

yes how do i just light test or i have to use a meter to check voltage..?
