Are all SOHC AC compressors interchangeable?
The Honda catalog has a bunch of different compressors for 93-00, but aftermarket parts places all call for the same part numbers for these years....
Does this mean that they are interchangeable?
I have a 95 DX hatch, and I think my AC clutch coil is going bad....it engages very intermittently. I was thinking about buying a new coil assembly and installing it on my compressor, but it might just be cheaper and easier getting a low mileage used one.
TIA

I understand this...
Really my question is with the R134A units...
Are the Sanden and the Hadsys systems interchangeable?
I have a Hadsys compressor with a bad field coil for the clutch. Rather than order the field coil and replacing it, I would rather buy a reman Sanden compressor/clutch and replace the whole thing. Is this possible?
