Default removing interior harness?

i'm working on an '01 integra gsr right now and i have to remove the whole interior harness...the dash is already out but i'm having the hardest time following the harness to get it out...reason why i am doing this is because the alarm that the previous owner put in shorted out and started a fire so all the wires are melted and need to be replaced...the alarm had like 4 different brains all inter-twined into each other via uncovered splices..

does anyone have a link or able to give me a step by step instruction in this removal?

You'll pretty much have to empty out the car, right? By that I mean seats, carpets, plastic panels, and perhaps even the headliner. There are 'sub' harnesses everywhere... My guess is that the 4 different brains are in the side/rear of the car behind the plastic panels?

You should be able to leave sub harnesses that aren't fried - e.g. tail light, perhaps the hatch back (for third-tail, rear-wiper, etc), and such. The ABS harness may be Ok.. stuff like that?

ok,

so wat i removed was complete dashboard,

i had to drop my steering column,

remove or losen clutch pedal assembly as it will b in the way of removing harness from that area,

i removed ac/heater blower assembly complete because you need to access black foam covering that runs along the inside of car firewall, but behind ac/heater assmebly complete

the ecu harness itself lies behind this covering. it has clips to remove the black covering, they r plastic circles, they r all over. ill post pics tomorrow and how to remove them.

the harness has a few 10mm bolts that hold it to the car. u will need to remove these. i will check how many tomorrow morning

harness does run from passenger headlight/signal all the way thru abs, engine bay fuse box, connects to passenger door, ecu plug, across dash and into fuse box and thats it. that harness does not go to headliner or tail lights. it goes from fuse box to passenger headlights

and thats it, i already had seats off and sold and had my carpet off so i didnt have to deal with the issue of it being in the way. but as u go u can tell wat will b in the way.

i didnt read n e thing on how to remove nor do i know if this is the proper way but i got mine out and idk how many ppl have even taken one out before.

I DO HAVE COMPLETE UNDER DASH HARNESS AND MAIN OBD2B HARNESS UNCUT AND FUSEBOX FOR SALE

ok so u gotta grab it from the middle where u see the slit with needle nose pliers, u pinch the two together and i believe they unscrew lol ill double check tomorrow

hey i just wanted to say thanks a lot for taking the time to help me with this, i appreciate it...i've got the dash out and the steering column is dropped...the whole abs side of the harness is disconnected and and i took the headlight harness out as that might need replacing too...all of the plugs are unplugged by the fusebox, pedals, and steering column, so i believe all i have left to do is remove the whole heater core/blower motor assembly and fish it out.

installing a new one i hear is pretty straight forward once you have the old one out so hopefully all goes well

thanks again for everything, i will pm you if i have any further questions
