Default JDM B16a OBD0 Distributor/start up problem

Howdy,

I recently had a bad dizzy due to the bearing/shaft seizing in the dizzy. I replaced the dizzy with a new one and everything hooked up fine and everything.

But I still have the same issue, its cranking really fast but not starting, very fast winding.

The dizzy is flush with the head.

The only thing I didn't do was set the first cylinder to top dead center before installing the dizzy. But I heard I didn't need to do that.

Also, I'm not sure if I have any spark. Or is it maybe because its flooding?

I have no codes flashing in the ecu besides the one flash at start up.

Don't see any fuses dealing with the distributor. Battery and Ignition fuses look good.

Any recommendations?

So I had to set the #1 piston to TDC? I didn't do that, I just took out the old dizzy and slapped on the distributor where I had it parked.

Just wondering. If my valves were bent. Wouldn't you hear a clunk? Or wouldn't you not be able to to rotate the crankshaft pulley?

I grabbed a 1/2 inch drive and a 19mm at the crank pulley bolt and it twists around fine. Of course with the regular resistance but it does not get stuck or feel harder to rotate than before. I also don't hear any noise.

When the distributor shaft bearing seized the car just simply shut off as if I turned it off, there was no mechanical noises, no banging etc.

I hope the valve train is alright. Supposively I can do a compression test, but would it give the same readings if the timing is off?

I believe the last time I did a compression test, I was getting about 250-280 in each cylinder
