any good ideas on gainin some hp fo my 98 integra ls

After you figure out which route your going to take look in the appropriate forums (ie NA/FI) to get ideas and do reading up on what people are using to make the best gains given the type of motor setup.
Generally speaking, people typically start w/intake/exhaust/headers/etc...but do yourself a favor, don't get $hit just because you have money now. Make the plan...figure out your motor setup...and purchase the appropriate parts.
Welcome to HT.
Thanks fo the tips u guys..yea a plan is much better than just spendin bigg money here and ther for the typical (intake headers exhaust) lol.. I Wil plan and spend my money wisley on this car and make it worth it.
if you got 2k to spend then boost that **** with a fully built head... if you got about 6k then get a k20 swap into your honda or acura... that price would include aftermarket parts and labor...
Yea I was thinkin of doin A fully built head..I'm actualy on a budget..I was wantin to just slapp **** on little by little

If I'm wrong please let me know...links to kits, tuning...etc would be great. If I thought I could reliably boost for 2k I would have already done it.

Head builds can be 2k in my opinion, without the turbo. If you have D-series. Haha. Just go NA, get bolt ons and tune. It's best to tune after an 'in depth' build, but everyone's on a budget more or less so you may tune a few times depending on your dedication towards the build and how far you take it.
Just leave the car stock until you figure out what is it you are trying to do because, seriously you wont get a lot of power from intake, header, and exhaust. That's my two cents.
Id say start out with a vtec head and make it a lsv with stock compression. Will be a great platform for boost or n/a down the road and you will pick up a noticeable difference that will keep you happy while you build yourself a turbo kit. That's my advice...
If u want more power and Vtec to kick harder.Just slap a big "VTEC" sticker on your windsheild. It should add about 50hp. Not kidding.
Reliable build, cheap budget, high power gains.
You can only pick two.
Cheap budget and high power gains will not be a reliable build
a reliable build on a cheap budget will not have high power gains
a reliable build with high power gains will not be a cheap budget!!!!

For a stock ls. I will tell you the best things to do.
Intake/header/exhaust (stay with stock intake manifold).
crower 402 camshafts (dont need to upgrade valvetrain since lift is almost the same)
a decent tuneup.
to help budget this, sell off some things u might not want, the things I sold off were:
power steering assembly
air conditioning assembly
rear seats
rear wiper
rear spoiler
rear carpets and seatbelts
i sold all of the above for between 500-1000$, I dont remember exactly.
You will be definitely gaining some noticable horsepower, although it will be midrange (for daily driving usage)
Although people say 'yeah intake and header at 15-20 hp', sure they do.... at 8000 rpm. realisticly, you will notice about
intake - 3hp
header - 4hp
exhaust - 3hp
cams - 10hp
tune - varies, could be as high as 10hp
weight reduction, power steering reduction, A/C reduction - 0.5-5hp
Although people say that an LS has 142 hp, 115 to the wheels, removing ac and power steering etc will 'free up' horsepower that was leeched, you will not actually 'gain'. But with this setup you could smoke a GSR no prob since they have high end power.
NOTE: a car weighing 500lbs more will dyno the same numbers. although it wont show on the street/track, gsr will definitely be below the 140whp range after it is weighed down.
good luck

I agree this would be money best spent.

Your advice is decent however is not money well spent. Those mods you suggested would get him a few more ponies but then what? The Crower 402 cams are a decent upgrade from stock, how much power would you get? Whats the point? They won't be a good choice for a N/A build or a turbo build. Plan for the future and buy once. Doing what you suggest is how someone ends up spending a fortune on a car.
You are talking about gutting the car, adding this and that for what? To go from a high 15 second car to a mid 15 second car? Wooooo
This advice can go to anyone starting new. The first and only thing you should do in the beginning is sit down with yourself and figure out where you want your car to be in 4 or 5 years. AKA your overall goal for the car. Then work towards that. If you can benefit from one mod now and still use it later in your build, then do that first.
Appreciate the good ideas u guyz..I don't think I'd want to go ls vtec..heard hear and there that there's possibilitys of it bein unreliable.
Yea it's your decision. I would just say dont waste any money on a b18b the heads cant flow. Next idea is to get the non vtec a shot of nitrous. I think you could hit it with a dry shot up to 50hp all day long. You could even go with a wet system up to 100hp.(use in moderation) but you leggo or just save for a jdm b18c. Dont get me wrong my spare engine is a b18b but i am boosted. I vote on your budget to juice it. GL
