Default Perches stuck

i recently bought a 96 hatch with function form F2s and i tried to lower the back some more since the previous owner had it about 2-3 inches higher than the front but anyway one side came down easy as pie and the driver side the whole thing spins. i tried PB blaster for 3 days and nothing. i tried to hit the locking perch with a screwdriver and hammer nothing. i tried 2 vise grips on each and going opposite directions and still nothing. so now im stuck and frustrated... anybody have any other recommendations? any help will be greatly appreciated thank you.

My perches got stuck too, sounds like you tried everything I tried as well. My result is I disassembled the whole part and got a new perch.

i did have the car up with the tire off ill try and see if i can get under it without the car being up in the air. i do not have the spanner ( if thats the wrench that comes with it ) im just using vise grips, screw driver/hammer and a big *** adjustable wrench. im going to go at it again tomorrow.
