I just hooked up a 520T to my Viper 350+ and it doesnt seem to be working. I have hooked one up before and I installed my own alarm so I know a little about wiring. Now the alarm still has power when the car battery is hooked up and still functions normally but when I unplug the car battery it doesnt set off the alarm and the alarm does not function without the car battery plugged in. Now the power is obviously going through the 520T or the alarm wouldnt function because I cut the alarm power wire to wire in the backup battery. Some background on the 520T... I bought it off ebay and it said it was new but when I got it in the mail it was really dirty and scratched and clearly looked used. I dont know if this has anything to do with it. Any thoughts? Lol, fair enough. I bought my last one off ebay and it was still brand new sealed in the plastic package. I assumed this one would be the same way. Guess I assumed too much. You think its a bad battery? Maybe no charge left in it?

 

Either the batt. is bad or the "charge/trigger" circuit is bad, charge the batt, up and test it, or take it to a batt. shop and have them test it, will be free at most places, if it's the batt. just replace the batt. 94

 

The guy I bought it from agreed to exchange it for the new one I was suppose to get in the first place so hopefully this one works.

 

you should have checked amazon if they have it. i bought mine off amazon and it worked perfectly..
