Well if its new, theres usually no haggling with the dealer, the price on Hondas website it usually whats on the sticker. They prob will mess with your trade ins value but that about it

LX 2wd?
EX-L 4wd?

Best thing I can say is to email a few local dealerships and find out who has the lowest price, and counter offers with other offers you've gotten.

also try carsdirect

For example:

in my zip (92627) a MSRP of $22475 is shown for a LX. They say they can guarantee you a price of $21302. The "no haggling" post above is BS. Maybe with models that just launched (like the first month or two) or if a specific model is in very high demand, but for high volume models with good availability and at least a little bit past the model year launch, yes you can get a discount.

and that price I listed above is including the destination charge. Could be a different offer in your area, carsdirect asks for a zipcode to get you the price.

and, I read that a new generation CRV will be introduced this fall as a 2012 model:

Go to www.truecar.com and enter the vehicle you want and see the prices people are paying for it in your area. Email the various dealerships in your area and get online price quotes. Use the truecar price as well as the various dealer quotes in your bargaining with a particular dealer.

Avoid truecar. You will receive numberous phone calls and emails primarily from dealers our of your geographic. They will lure you in with incredible discounted pricing because they want to pull you away from your local dealers, but the fine print is where they get you. Most do not include destination fee in their quote, also "small additional fee's might apply," is pretty common in the advertizing. So a CR-V that might be discounted $3500 is really just a $1000 savings, and you wasted a lot of time traveling to a dealer you'll never do business with other than the transaction. Dealers haggle on pricing, the above statement is very false. Do your research on edmunds.com. It's a very credible site, and it'll give you a fair market value for the CR-V. The fair market value is based on a national average selling price. But keep in mind the CR-V is the top selling vehicle in it's category. Honda sold almost 160,000 units last year, with Toyota in 2nd with about 130,000. Getting one for $1000-$1500 under MSRP is a pretty good deal, but just depends on what type of demand there is for the CR-V in your market.

Bought my 2010 Honda crv lx awd for 21,500 from 23,500 (mandatory destination fee included) in Chicago about 8 months ago , the price of the Crvs are hard to haggle with for some reason , must be a popular car for families , I heard Crvs out sold civics a few months ago so I guess they are hot right now
