Need help with timming belt, B20/Vtec Built can't get timing belt on
Ok, so I got the car all put back together yesterday, finished up around 9pm or so. Now all I did was do a block swap, being the other block was no good because someone used the wrong head studs an they backed out an also where striped put half way down the threads on the
Block, reason being I'm guessing is because they tried torqing the head bolts with only half the threads biting into the block.
Back to topic, so I got the motor all in an torqe it all down by the book an from past exsperances, I got this **** mastered like no other, Ok so all I did was swap blocks, well now when I put the belt on, starting with it being on the crank gear first, I made the tensioner as lose as it would get, ok so I know everything is right, but when I got to the cam shaft gears it won't go over both of them, I tried putting it on the intake cam first, but got nothing, then I tried putting it on the exhaust gear an still the same problem, now I dont see why this belt won't go on because it's the one I pulled off the motor. Im not sure what belt it is. I'm running AEM cam gears also, the water pump may be an issue to, its the b20water pump, I have a water pump with less teeth on it, if I put that water pump on tho, I'll have to put a new timing belt on if I use that. If I put he smaller tooth water pump on, what timing belt do I
Want to use. I'll do more searching to see what parts would be best to use. Thanks guys for reading, to answer or help me with this problem, just text my cell phone (1-814-934-4685) ok thanks guys awaiting a response so I can get this turd running again

Water pump and timing belt application must match. You didn't indicate what motor setup you had before. If you had a complete VTEC engine before (B18C, B16), then you need to use the VTEC water pump with your VTEC timing belt.
