$2,000 to burn!! What should I get for suspension and brakes???
OK guys, here is the deal:
As some of you know, I am going to put an H22 in my car and I am going to need some suspension and brake mods. My front brakes are shot right now so they are first and foremost. I was also thinking about getting a front crossmember. Which one is the best? Give me some ideas on what you would buy(suspension and brake wise) if you were in my situation and had $2,000 to burn. Please include approximate prices for the different parts too. Thanks guys.

forget the h22 and get a b16 and turbocharge it
that way you can buy my kit off of me
for your suspension, 2000 is more than enough to suit your needs. a full coilover system will cost around a grand. then i would go for a ST rear swaybar (200). Next would be new crossdrilled/slotted rotors (100 bucks), some good pads (60 bucks). Then you would still have enough for a z10 crossmember (550). but if you're going h22, i doubt the z10 will work. the oil pan will get in the way of the traction bars.

Well I am looking to upgrade the rears to disk eventually too. What do you think the best would be? Which crossmember do you think would work best with the H22?
hey bro brakes are good, but im running sir with sloted rotors and they stop good and i do alot of canyon driving and i have no problems, for suspension like others have said go with a good coilover system and sway-bars , and even a bushing kit, let me say bushings make a diff. you have to remember how old your cars bushing are and how hard you drive. if u are interested in sway-bars i have an extra set of s.t. only used for one weekend.
Koni yellows - $140/ea (or around $550 for set)
Ground Control "coilovers" - $300 (get some stiff front springs)
slotted or blank (don't do cross-drilled) rotors - $60-$120
Hawk HP+ brake pads - $60
Rear ST bar -$120
The end.

Polyurethane bushings: $150
Koni Sport: $500-$600
H&R Race or another progressive spring: $150
Rotors: $120
S.S. lines: $120
Brake pads: $50-$100
Installation is about $500-$700 alone for bushing install. I'd do this first. Although, I didn't, but then again I didn't have $2000 or enough to cover it all.

You wish!!
What are some of the prices on the fastbrakes kits for the front and rear? Plus I don't need to use any money for installation since I will be doing it all myself.
DUDE, Jimfab front crossmember!
excellent handling upgrade! Made a bigger difference than sway bars.
