Default z6 vs b8 head dimensions

Ok, I bought a new ac ramhorn/downpipe for a d16z6. I was mocking it up on a spare z6 block with a b8 head. The problem is the downpipe is hitting where the oil pan mates to the block. I shaved the block to get an idea how off it was. I'd say it's about a 1/4" - 2/5" off. Now my question is. Does the casting(Correct term? idk) on a vtec head go out further than a usdm d15? Or are they pretty much identical?

To the right is the ac bracket and compressor.

I was just looking at some old pics and it doesn't appear to be any different. Look specifically at the middle front where the machining tab is at (small circle in front of the middle/front head bolt hole):

B8

Z6

Y8 for reference but should be the same:

If you really need it, I can take measurements off of some spare heads I have laying around.
