I know by putting an intake to the turbo will cause a loss of power theres some threads around with dyno'd results and I think by adding the veloscity stack you will gain some horse power

You dont want your car sucking in hot air from the radiator or debris that may be hitting the front of the car... this is my setup although i should have some kind of aluminum shroud blocking radiator heat from the filter would improve the design more...

the 4" intake/velocity stack lowered intake temperatures and improved horsepower on the dyno verse the heat from the radiator going straight into my turbo lol

If it's a drag car, then yes, a velocity stack will help. If it's a street car, I wouldnt go that route, unless you have a filter on it somehow.

run an intake out of the engine bay with a real filter.... your motor and turbo will thank you
