is 3in exhaust to big for a stock h22
the exhause is already on the car thats why im wondering. the car had a turbo h22 and i sold the motor and putting a stock h22 back in and wondering if the 3in exhaust will be to much thanks
this has been covered. look for the dynos on this site that show the 3in exhaust is good on the h22
i use to have a built h22 turbo swap and ended up selling the swap and just gonna throw a stock h22 back in the car for a dd but didnt know if the exhause would hurt or help but graphs show itll help so thats great and thanks

back pressure NO! no engine should have back pressure in exhaust. a good tune exhaust (header) will allow exhaust to flow in its normal waves. a good header will allow for scavaging of old exhaust gasses.
well this at least i will have something later to do to the exhaust, if i want to. i am 2.5in from collector all the way out. just finished and am looking for next power adder. maybe LSD or final drive gears.

now what would be a nice quiet muffler for a 3" exhaust?
I'm using the vibrant flat black now with a vibrant resonator and magnaflow cat.
Im thinking about getting an 3" OBX twin loop(I know...OBX) but seems to have good reviews and looks decent, cheap and quiet.

You are not going to quiet down a 3" exhaust. Just add a cut out to your current set up. Probably cheaper and you get the benefit of driving in a nice quiet car.
