don't real ones have "RAYS" or "VOLK" pressed into a spoke on the inside?

I just did a google search and the answer is no. Not all real VOLK wheels have a pressed in or raised stamp.

You aren't by chance trading someone from Lakewood/Tacoma are you?

My friends friend had or still has a set like that looked like that. We were never ever to figure out if they were feel or fake. Some say they are an older design, some say they are fake.

As far as the lug placement looks, they seem to be real.

Is his name Jeff?

I agree with Jimmy, and the others. I do think they are real.

IIRC, I recently saw a thread in the Wheel & Tire section or Appearance/Cosmetic that went over some differences. I remember it being an old thread from like 2003-2006.

I was pretty torn at first, until I saw that picture.

I would say fake. The hole pattern seems off. Seems to be 90° turned compared to real TE's

I would say that if you are having trouble identifying; then when you go to sell them in the future without the tags inside or some proof other than lug holes; you might have a harder time than if they were with history. This is something to keep in mind even if they ARE real, at least recognize you will have a harder time proving it than another set. Thats all :D

look real due to lug pattern...check the back spacing for anything engraved and should say something in between the spokes on the front of the wheel.."rays engineering"

I just sold my te37s. They were stamped RAYS on the inside of the lug hub in the center of the wheel; cant argue with that. My friend tried telling me they were Rotas because they didnt have the stickers on the front...

They look good to me. What's the deal on the trade? Would it still be worth it to you if they were knockoffs?

On the back there should be a stamp that says MADE in JAPAN and below of that stamp it should say REFG (rays engineering forged) not all te37's have volk stamps on them so this is another way to tell them from fake ones

There has to be some type of stamp on the inside of the rim. Every rim has something.
