Icon6 1988 CRX Running Poorly

I got a 88 crx dx I changed water pump headgasket did tune up and changed fuel filter and car still runs like it did with the bad headgasket. I torqued the head rite timings dead on I cleaned primary and secondary injectors.it idles perfect but as soon as u punch it to the floor it dogs down and has no power till about 3500 rpm then revs up fine past that could it be a bad tps? I can't figure it out anybody no what's wrong with it?

try changing the plugs and wires or atleast make sure they are pushed all the way down on the plugs so they arent loose
that would be my next step

Ok I'll try that tmm...but the only other thing I could think of the guy I got the car off of used junk eBay plug wires there 10.5mm wires I was think that they were to big and were restricting the spark maybe?

i only would use ngk wires and plugs. They arent expensive. might be moisture in your cap and rotor? i had heard of someone having that problem before but never saw it first hand. I have had a cracked wire insulation before though and at different speeds or when it was raining out it would short out on the valve cover

So I think it is the junk eBay plug wires bc I pulled emm off one by one when it was running and they were barley sparking and then the one f**ked my hand up so I'm gunna try new cap rotor and plugs and wires and they will be NGK

How many miles on it? It could also be a distributor issue.

I would put money on it being a TPS.

not to downplay your automotive prowess, but are you sure it is plugged in?
