Default Removing sunroof panel question

Hey guys quick question. My sunroof has some broken supports. Anyways I picked up a good one out of the junkyard right before the car got crushed for $33. Anyways the new panel is rusted out but has a good set of tracks and the pieces and mount to the track. I was wondering if you could remove the panel with out having to take the head liner out. Thanks in advance.

Take the headliner out. I dont understand why you wouldent want to just drop the headliner. It is easy.

Yeah I was able to get the panel out with the headliner still in. Got to pull it anyways since the track it broke on one side.

I'm planning on replacing just the glass of the moon roof. Since you have some experience with it do you know if you can uninstall just the glass piece without taking out the headliner?

You can on the metal one in a crx. Open the sunroof. Look under the glass on the back support and there is a 8mm nut to take the back plastic stopper off. Remove them on both sides. Then remove the 10mm bolts at the front of the panel. Slide it forward and remove it.

What about the glass one in a Civic?
