My d16y8 seems to have an issue firing up. It turns over strong but I have to punch the gas at start up to get it to fire up. Without gassing it, it takes quite a few seconds, if at all. Possible injector/fuel pump issue? Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

 

Any CEL codes? When was the least tune up?

 

It throws a code for the IAT sensor. No idea when it was tuned last. I just bought it.

 

Fix the code problem and do a full tune up and oil change.

 

you might have a vacuum leak. replace the vacuum hoses and when you do your tune-up, be sure to replace the PCV valve+grommet.
