Default My 91 CRX build

New to the forums since I just bought my first CRX yesterday. I bought a pair of CRXs for 1400 together; one is a parts car and the other is the one that is going to be my daily driver. I am basically just going to be documenting everything that I am going to be doing to it in this thread.

The main one I am going to be working on is a 1991 CRX HF that I am planning on putting a mini-me on it plus going to be fixing all the body work that the idiot who owned it before me did in a half-@$$ed way.

Now for the pics of the car as I found it. Can be found here, since for some reason the boards don't get a long with Picasa all that well.

Any advice as I continue on would be greatly appreciated.

kilassapsap, Unfortunately the part car shell is in pretty bad shape. I may try to save it. But we'll see how bad it is after we strip the part off it. We really dont wanna send another CRX to the scrap yard.

Typically referred to as the Bitch Pin. There are a few options:

1) Specialized tool
2) 'Ole fashioned beat'er out method

I typically use a beater Pozidriv to knock it out with few whacks of a rubber mallet. This is obviously not the proper removal technique but does suffice. Type "bitch pin" in the search feature to discover actual threads on this topic.

Your car isn't fast... But FYI you can swap a ZC cam into the D16a6 head.

My car has a D15b1 bottom end, D15B7 head intake manifold, injector's fuel rail and all that jazz. Has a D16a6 computer and dizzy. header,cat-back and 10.2mm wires, long tube intake, Port and polish and a short throw shifter cut short, its pretty fast i just think a D16a6 cam would be more agressive and make it fast i run next to my buddy who has a 240sx and he runs a high 14 and thats with the 4-speed tranny.

Im not saying its super fast but its pretty fast. Most modded cars where i live dont run a 15 lol. It hits 94mph before the 1/4 mile mark. Ill upload a video some time.

D-series all the way.
