A slight rubbing noise after ball joint replacement
I had a lot of work done.
Ball joint replacement was one of those. Now from the passanger side, there is a slight metal on metal rubbing noise. Like a hiss, noticable at low speeds when window is open. I am thinking its the aluminium guard behind the rotors. I removed the tire and checked and could discern any point of contact with the rotors. I'm 99% sure its still the guard rubbing on the rotor.
Anybody else come across this problem? Where was the guard (or shield) rubbing the rotor or w/e? Like - inside edge, outside, etc. (My outside edges are cleanly away from the rotor.) Could it be the axle rubbing on it?
Thanks for the replies!!

Well, to be honest, we could name a few possibilities, but it would still require you to get in there and find it. Are the brakes dragging at all?
Anyhow..
Jack the front of the car up, put it on stands (but leave the jack in place), start the car, put it in 1st gear (if you have a manual trans, otherwise put it in drive) and listen for it. Poke around with a flashlight. It should be easy to find the source of the noise. If need be, have someone there to give you a hand.
Good luck with it.

I went under and had a look. I couldn't find anywhere where the dust shield was touching the rotor.\
Edit: fixed it!!! It was the dust shield! the inner edge was touching.. I had to really get in there to see it!
Took it for a longer drive and now I have this crazy jerk to the right every now and then!!
