I've got a 2010 Civic EX coupe. For the past three months, about once every two weeks I'm having this problem. It has happened in the morning when the engine is cold, during the day after the car has been off for only a few minutes, and in the evening after one or two hours since last driving. I put the key in, turn one click forward, wait for the fuel pump to stop, then turn the key to start up. The engine will not attempt to turn over at all, and I hear a loud buzzing noise (sounds like electricity bzzzzzzzzzz). The noise seems to be coming from right in front of me. The noise stops when I release the key. I wait a few seconds, try again and the car starts normally. I've called the local service center and they wont do anything if they can't duplicate it. There seems to be no consistent conditions which cause the problem to occur. Any ideas as to what the what the problem is? Thanks all in advance/

 

Sounds like the main relay is going bad already. When it does start, listen for the main relay to click right as you begin to crank it. Is the click coming from the same place as the buzzing?
