Default quick dpfi-mpfi ecu pin question

So Im almost done with my dpfi-mpfi swap and theres one thing Im concerned about. When depinning the wires at the ecu plug (a1,a3,a5,a7 and a15) do I just take out the pins and let them hang there? Keep in mind I soldered matching wires with pins off of a spare ecu plug I had laying around.

You can leave them there if you are running all new wires but why don't you just reuse the wires (move the pins into the correct location) and solder the corresponding ends in the engine bay as needed?

depinning. I assume you mean removing unused wire from the ecu. Clip pins off and protect wires (tape or bean).. Most of them are outputs so it doesnt matter but just to keep it clean.
