whining tranny noise. ...... ..
so i picked up my car from a shop a week ago i took it out for a drive today i hear whining sound from tranny.
this tranny was NOT making noise before it went to the shop.
they took off my tranny and put it on another block and put in a new cv shaft..
when i accelerate it makes the noise
in first gear it makes the loudest noise
as the gears (rpm) goes down it is not as loud ..
dont tell me i have to take my tranny out now.. i'll kill my self

You need to figure out of the sound varies with engine speed (typically on the input side) or vehicle speed (typically on the output side). For example, clutch/pp/fly sounds change with RPM while axles noises change with MPH.
It's worth checking to make sure that they put fluid in there, although the smart consumer would go back and complain until things got resolved.
