Default Rear disc brakes

I am buying a 90 crx si and I am going to get integra rear discs on there pretty soon. But I want to upgrade to bigger rotors for the front and back sometime later this year. I was considering AEM but they dont make a big rotor kit for the rex. Any one have any other suggestions... Although I could prolly make it work I don't want to have to rig up a $500 brake kit to fit...

Thanks

yes. 90-91's have rear disc stock, however i replaced my 89 fronts with some 90 teg ls fronts, big difference. stock size is 9.5" rotor, integra is like 10.5". i would tell you to get the integra knuckles, then order the big brake kit for the integra if you want more blingy-bling behind your wheels. haha

well I had an Si like 3 years ago before I got into tuning cars so I never paid much attention, and I didnt have it for very long either. My friend said the same thing and I havent got the car home yet so I cant really look at it. But even still, AEM doesnt make anything for the CRX, anybody have any alternate options? ie, brembo...

I have a 89 CRX Si which had drum brakes when I first bought it. I then converted the drums to disks with the complete rear setup off of a 90-91 CRX Si. After that I purchased the AEM Big Brake kit (part# 29-900BL) for the rear of my car which installed flawlessly. If you all notice on AEM's website the part numbers for the Big Brake Kits for the front or rear of the Civic's or Integra’s are the same excluding the 2002 stuff. Anyway to make a long story short the part number that I listed above is the correct one for any CRX that has stock disks or a stock drum to disk conversion. I hope this was clear and helpful for everyone, any questions reply back.

if you pull the front spindels off the integra they will directly bolt on to your rex. this will allow you to do big brakes front and back on your car. the front spindels are a little bit longer than the stock crx ones so you will have to modify your upper control arms by notching them out but this is the only mod you will need to do to be able to bolt the big brakes on. they look really good on the crx's!

I already tried that Integra trick that everyone says works but it don’t. I used the spindles off of a 94 Integra GS and after I put it all back together I didn’t have my negative camber problem, reason being is the top of the tire stuck out of the fender by a good inch or so. Basically everyone here is trying to run the AEM big brake kit and are trying to find ways to get to the Integra\Civic EX stock 10.5" rotor in order to use the AEM kit. What work are the front spindles off of a 91 Civic EX 4-Door sedan, these cars came equipped with the 10.5" rotors stock and you don’t have to butcher your a-arms up to make it work.

the big difference between the crx si brakes and integra brakes are the rotors. Si's have non-vented slotted rotors, while the integra has vented, blank rotors (like most stock hondas). My question is will the stock calipers work on a si if u switch the rotors over to teg rotors?

Why not try and get spindles/knuckles from an SIR? Didn't they have the bigger rotors than the SI. I remember seeing the fronts on someone's sight, where it said $99 for the pair, but pick up only.... I think they included rotors and calipers also. I can't remember exactly which site it was..... I think it might be Sheng's sight.... anyone got that addy?
