Prop Valve install?
Kinda a dumb question here. I just had Teg rear disc brakes installed on my hatch, I was using the Civic prop valve. Brakes feel so so, I hit a junkyard this weekend and just found a 4040 prop valve from a Teg. My question is, what would be the best steps to remove the prop valve from my civic without making a mess? Crack the bleeder on the front brakes or rear or both till empty? Then remove? I just dont want brake fluid squirting out and making a huge mess! Thanks
Just use a flarenut wrench to loosen the fittings first. Put a rag underneath of course.
Don't drain the fluid before or any more than you need. No need to introduce any more air than necessary.
Bleed all 4 corners until it runs clean, and do another round to be sure.
