92 EG won't crank
Hey guys. I own a 92 civic with GSR swap out of a 95 tegi. The car has been my daily driver for the past couple years. I hadn't had any problems at all with the car until this morning. I hopped in and turned the key and didn't have any power. When I turn the ignition key to the off position my dome light and dinger started back up. I figured the battery drained for whatever reason so I stuck a charger on it. It only charged for a couple minutes before saying it was a complete charge. Tried again and the same thing happened. I also tried booster cables just in case, still the same result. I also noticed that when I flip the parking and/or running lights on it has the same symptoms. I don't hear the fuel pump kicking on either. The fuses look fine. I'm rechecking them with a multimeter as we speak. Any direction in what the problem could be will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
You tried jumping/using from a known good battery? Check your ground cables on the chasis. Aslo, check all the cables on the starter. Check all the fuses inside and in the engine bay.
Yea I tried jumping the vehicle off with jumper cables hooked up to a friends jeep which was running. I ohmed out all the ground wires i can find and also checked for voltage drop. I checked out the cable on the starter as well. I ohmed and checked for voltage on all fuses. Everything looks ok so far. It just won't crank
I did notice something different though. When the car was hooked up with jumper cables, with the ignition in the ON(II) position. Everything would eventually light up. You could hear the main relay kick in, the fuel pump kick on, etc. but if you tried to crank it, it would go to nothing again. We let it sit with the jumper cables for about 20 minutes hoping it was a low charge. The battery also tested ok with the battery tester. I haven't come across and loose connections either. Also I don't know if this helps or not but it has been raining a lot the past few days and it is kept outside.

Your battery may be dead. Have it tested.
Also if the rubber stopper that presses on the starter switch at the top of the clutch pedal is damaged or falls out, the starter won't crank the engine.

If the stopper is fine, test your ignition switch.
