Planning on installing Sti Springs and Tokico D-Spec struts on an 03 WRX. Will this require a camber kit even though the ride height will not change dramatically?

No, you'll just need an alignment. Have them run max camber in the front, if you want to get more camber up front get some camber bolts and you should be able to get close to -2 degrees. Front camber helps reduce the understeer on Subies (my other car is a STi).

Thanks. This is my son's WRX. He's glad to not have to buy f & r camber! If he ever lowers it he can but he's more into rally, I think he'll be getting into rallyX eventually.

Because Impezas have a different suspension set up than Integras/Civics there are no "camber kits" for them. If he wants to adjust his camber (which is a good idea on that chassis, their stock alignment intentionally promotes understeer) he'll need camber bolts and/or plates. Bolts will get you to about -1.7-1.9 in the front, if you want anymore you'll need plates.

I'm unfamiliar with alignments for rallyx, but a good camber setting for tarmac that will not mess up your tires is ~-2.5" in the front and ~-1.0-1.5 in the rear.

Cool! I'm speaking from what my alignment tech told me but we plan on running mild camber for his daily. We have my honda for SOLO this season.

If you can, get camber plates and install the driver side plate on the passanger strut tower and the passenger side plate on the driver strut tower. You want as much camber/ caster as you can get.....if you track it. It worked great on my 04 STi.

Good idea, I forgot about that.

Also have your son research the "free caster mod". Pretty much you flip a mounting bolt 180º on the LCAs and you pic up about 0.5º of caster. I'm pretty sure you can do it on both WRX and STi LCAs. If he has another ~220 to spare, an "anti-lift" kit is a great suspension mod (other than the obvious sway bars/alignment), just make sure you get one that ALSO adds caster like the Whiteline one. Be warned, if he plans on Autox'ing it he will get f'ed over on classing becasue it relocates your LCA mounts and it is very easy to spot.
