Just inquiring as to what ever came about from this post. I had it bookmarked and now the topic has been deleted. Just wondering , I know someone had posted that it was the same manifold people have been passing off recently (OBX/nuspeed) anyhow just wondering if b18bturbo got embarresed and deleted the topic or if anyone has any feedback about the manifold.

There was a post before. It was not deleted as an embarassment. Nothing more to say about it.

 

I was just inquiring about it because I was quite interested in a tubular a/c compatable manifold, and then the post just dissapeared after the OBX claims popped up. I know hes a moderator, that just looked odd. I just wanted to know why, not lead on speculation or anything of the sort.

The manifolds are made by mengheader.com. The manifolds are made overseas. The manifolds are bad *** in quality for the price. They are imported by imported in NY. If anyone wants anymore information give us a call. We have plenty of these units from meng including some of ther eexhaust products. There is another company obx which copied the meng header at half the cost so be very careful in what you choose. the OBX one is not the same as the nu-image. Nu-image also get thers header from meng as well.


Both manifolds are top notch in quality wg placement is differnt though on both of them. They opted for hks flange cut and weld 35mm these are come prefitted from meng with 35mm deltagate. The reason meng made thease headers is for over sea production. Alot of people use them to make manifolds. They also have one of the best quality gt line of turbos i have seen. And half the cost of what you see in the states.

In this post this is what I gather from what you said. We have local guy here that does the manfiold you will see Geoff its pretty nice he cuts his own collectors as well. You said this after FFGeoff questioned you about who was making them. I guess the hold up is you are still getting them coated for heat right? Yeah right.

Now, how is is that you say "you" are making and designing them, then when someone comes out and says they are not made by you, you finaly make a post who is really making them? All this time I thought you did this stuff. How about the resonitors? Do you make those also "in house" like you say?

I will be in the dallas area and I challenge you to show me your shop. Where about is grapvine? What is your address to the shop? Why does your business phone sound like a cell phone? Im calling you out to show me proof.

i don't understand what the big deal with this is. i know plenty of places that have parts made elsewhere. STR for instance...you would think that their intake manifold is made inhouse...but i know who actually makes them at it's not them. and i'm sure if you were to ask them they'd probably say it was made inhouse too. AEM is another one...their EMS system was not made by them...it's based off of another system called GEMS which has been around for a while. Just fixed up a bit and with a big AEM label slapped on it. and here you are ragging on viren's *** because he does the same? c'mon...really...what has he done to you...does this really make a difference to anyone? viren has helped me out with almost every part of my turbo setup...and i'm sure i'm not the only one on this board who he has helped...A LOT. working at a performance shop i've learned that the real money is in manufacturing...coming out with your own products. if you really think that every company out there makes each and every one of their own products than you're sadly mistaken.

You are acting like a child. The manifold is nice that he is selling. If you dont want it that is fine.

 

I agree, i think maybe he tried out his design, and his manifold design probably didnt turn out right so he trashed it and decided to use this one, after all, everyone got excited he was coming out with a decent kit and instead of going through the headaches of making his own, it would be more benefical to use this one.....i mean he even said this manifold isnt his, so what if he is a little embarrassed his shot at making manifolds was a bust. He still comes through w/ everything he promises and has really good customer service....but what do i know
