Metal coolant hose, back of block?
Ya know where this "Metal pipe" is on the back of the block below the IM and it carries all the coolant inside the block?
Well that pipe that connects to the block is leaking and i was wondering if anybody knows how to plug it up? Should i use high temp caulking or like home depot bathroom caulking? There is also JB welding???
help?

No No NO NO NO!!!!!!!
The pipe carries all of the coolant from the water pump to the rest of the motor. The leak is coming from a split O-ring gasket. No amount of sealant will fix this. Buy a new rubber O-ring from the dealer (they are not expensive), lub it and install it. Replace the two (one at both ends) Easy fix just make sure you grease the O-ring so it doesn't do it again.

Also make sure you replace it as soon as possible. Aside from running out of coolant and overheating, you are also sucking air into the block which could stop the flow of coolant all together which means goodbye D15B2....
They are not too hard to replace, just make sure you do it right the first time and don't cut corners.
Based on the diagram above, you need two #12's. You remove the metal pipe by removing the two bolts from the thermo housing (#17,#18) and pull off the thermo housing #7. This is also a good time to replace the thermostate #3/4 while you're at it.
