My GF Julie just got a 99 prelude SH. she has some money saved and wants to get, AEM CAI, DC header, AEM Pullies, Apexi N1 exhaust. What do you guys think she should get after this? She doesn't want a turbo but she is considering Supercharging or building the motor then spraying like a 80-100 shot. Please give me your oppinions about what she should do so she can quit asking me!

 

Screw the DC header - the rest is ok, tho the N1 may be a bit loud, depending on your taste.

Yes, the N1 is loud ... but is that bad? I dont think so.
Where did you find this girlfriend, mine gets a new car and wants a leopard print steering wheel cover and seat covers.

My opinion, based on my experiences is that DC Sports products either a) don't work, b) fall apart, or c) don't work then fall apart. I'd be willing to bet the header isn't doing much for your car compared to the stock header and, esp. compared to Mugen...

If she's heard an N1 and is ok w/ the sound of the N1 that's cool - I'm just saying that she may want to ride around in it all day - in town and on interstate just to be sure.

I really appreciate you comments everyone!! I think my GF might be falling into the darkside!!!! she heard a turbo eclipse with an RFL Bov and thought it was the coolest thing in the world. She said she wanted to rig that bov to a JRSC lol. So its looks like she is going to be getting some forced induction sometime in the next 6 months.

I don't know why but she wants a supercharger. I have one so i told her to go turbo but she still wants that jrsc. Females got to love them

Well, I think unless she likes to maintain her car very well or you like to do it for her a supercharger might be a better idea. There's a lot more to maintain on a turbo kit and I doubt she'd want to do this. Of course being the wonderful boyfriend you are I'm sure you wouldn't mind checking her car over every time you saw her.
