Never get bolts lower than grade 8 for your car
You know sometimes your working on your brakes or what not and som bolt has a hard time coming out. Then, when you do about screwing the bolt back, it keep on turning more than needed. End up braking after all.
Well I had that happen. So I went to kragen and got that bolt. Put it in and drove for like 3 weeks. Next thing I know the bolt is not there and everything is loose. I have no clue were the bolt went. So I went back to kragen and the dude recognized me and asked what the bolts were for and I said for brakes. He said to NEVER use these bolt. He told me to go to ACE hardware and get their grade8 bolt which will work.
So when you are in same situation, either get oem(used or new) or go to ACE hardware because they have a good variety of metric grade8 bolts.
Btw anyone have the same problem?

Never had a problem with broken bolts while doing brakes. Dont use hardware store bolts... Get OEM/OE replacement bolts. The salts from probably dont help though. Use some anti-seize, you will thank yourself later.
Here in CA we have specialty bolt stores. One I frequent is King Bolt here in Glendora. They know everything there is to know about fasteners and what not, a valuable tool for sure.
Grade 8 is an "American" (SAE) rating. The metric equivalent is 10.9.
A metric grade 8.8 is only equivalent to SAE 5.
Since we drive Japanese cars, most bolts on it should be metric.
