how to change your belts d16y8
hey there, i have a 99 civic ex with a d16y8. i cant find any tutorial to save my life
my power steering belt is chirping like hell and i wanted to get and install new belts but i want to research everything first. also i tried to look for the power steering belt tensioner but had no luck i would really appreciate it if anyone had a pic as a quick fix until i get new belts.

You might want to do all the belts - p/s is the last one to go on, and you have to take it off to do either of the others. There is no p/s "tensioner", just a slotted bracket. Loosen that bolt and the mounting bolt and it will become clear how it pivots to create slack. I'd take a picture, but it's dark and rainy out.

Yep I'd go ahead and replace them all....how many miles do you have on the y8? When was the last time you did the timing belt? I did my timing belt and all other belts/water pump/tensioner all in one. It was a decently long day but well worth it, especially if you haven't changed your timing belt or have no idea when it was last changed. If you replace all your belts now and then have to replace your timing belt soon, you'll be pissed you did all the same work twice.
