Default Timing belt installation

I know theres been topics over this, but I'm looking for specific answers.

So after You put the belt on the cam sprockets, and crank. you remove the 2 bolts/punches etc, from the cams then turn the crank 3 teeth on the cams counter clockwise ?

I'm asking because there seems to be too much slack on the long side of the belt, and turning the crank 3 teeths, seems to get me out of tdc on the whole thing

If anyone can help I appreciate it.

Sorry for an old topic.

Default Re: Timing belt installation

Are you using a manual tensioner or auto? If you're using auto, switch to a manual and setting timing will be a much better experience.
