Default GAUGE CLUSTER SWAP

before I get smashed on about theres already a 1000 trheads out there about this iv already searched and found them and read them but i have a Q that was not stated in what im looking at.

Ok my 92 civic hatch came with a gauge cluster that does not have the tac in it but I alreAdy have another one with the tac in it and today when I pulled the old one out of the car to put the new one In I noticed that there was only 3 wire plugs on the stock on in the car and i didnt see another wire plug in the harness

SO>>>>>>

what do I have to do to make the tac work in the 2nd cluster I have? do i have to find a wiring harness "in dash" that has the extra plug in it already or is there another way around it. im asking cause im sure the tac wont work without this 4th plug im assuming

i just swapped a ex gauge cluster into my dx too! everything works great except that the fuel gauge is stuck on full. i filled up my gas tank the other night and have been driving the whole day (total 50+ miles) and the needle doesnt drop even a bit compared to the dx cluster. ive been thinking about disconnecting the battery, reconnecting to see if that does the trick, if not, then maybe clean the terminals on the back of the cluster a bit? any pointers guys? thanks!

Is the TAC2 just a cover? From what I know it should just be plug n play. Aren't all civics wired from the factory to use a tach?

no its not just a cover theres no plug behind it so its just covering the hole. Also notice the harness I have that came out of the car does not have the extra plug thats pictured on the back of the gauge cluster. so im curious as to what the extra plug is for and if its even needed and will the tac plug n play and work without that extra whit plug in the harness

The missing plug socket in cluster #2 is only needed for the cruise control and shift up indicators. Cluster #1 should work fine.
