Engine Swap/Trans Question.
Just swapped my old 150k d17a1(LX) motor for a 15k d17a2 motor(EX). Question I have is, will my rebuilt LX transmission act/drive strange since the car now has vtec?
Everything has already been swapped and plugged up.
I haven't had a chance to drive it since it went straight to the paint shop for a full color change.
Just checking to see if I should expect any surprises or problems.

Just ran into a problem.
Getting the code:
"P0966
Pressure Control
Circuit Control
Solenoid B
Circuit Low"
I've already replaced the solenoid, check for grounds on the wire harness, but the code is still popping up.
Anyone have any ideas of what it could be?
Swapped LX motor For EX. Still using LX transmission. Already have EX ECU and Wire harness installed.

Not sure about '01 - '05 Civics, but the '96 - '00s will throw transmission codes if you use an EX transmission in a DX/LX or vice versa. (mainshaft sensor reads off 3rd gear and the ratio is different, throws the PCM for a loop and it throws a mainshaft sensor code)
Well we finally figure out the problem and fixed it. Whoever at the junkyard took the wire harness out, actually was able to stretch the wire far enough to break the inner wire but leave the insulation intact making it almost unnoticeable.
Thanks for the help and input guys!

$300 for the ex motor w/15k miles on it, used my original transmission
$100 for the ecu (junkyard)
$50 for the wire harness (junkyard)
$600 for an EX RS-R Exmag Exhaust(LX exaust won't fit anymore w/out modification)
My friends helped me with the install so I wouldn't know how much that would cost.
I'll also have a build thread with the pricing on all the suspension parts I had done in a week or two.
