I'm trying to figure out if the resonator assembly on the exhaust in the mid section will on a coupe if its from an EK hatch. Are they universal without having to do any welding?

 

They are different lengths. The hatch mid section (Honda calls it a B pipe) is different because the cat is located at the header.

D16Y8 has the cat after the A pipe, D16Y7 has the cat before the A pipe. That is the reason for the length difference.

 

Alright, thats what I figured. The pipe i picked up was from hatch, but it looks will bolt up to the cat. The thing is though its a 2.5" and mine is 2'.
