http://newjersey.craigslist.org/pts/2240998850.html

I do not know if its a scam or not but it doesn't seem like it. It seems like a far price and a good start for a project.

THE GUY ADDED A VIDEO SHOWS A LITTLE MORE DETAIL HERE IS THE LINK

Nice find. Looks like its been there a while. I guess it was stolen at some point and then left there for dead. Tempting, but I cant fork out 3k for a shell right now. If its legit someone will have a great project.

Yea my thoughts exactly If I wasn't already building mine I would have already scooped this up. But it is a great start for someone. Hope someone grabs it up before some hack grabs and destroys it.

sent an email and am awaiting more pictures! See what comes of this. Would anyone in the area have the opportunity to travel over and check it out for me?

I've always had this fascination of mating an RL drivetrain (engine and SH-AWD) with an ITR shell....how is SH-AWD controlled anyway? Is it linked to the main ECU or does it have it's own onboard computers to control it (like a separate "E"CU just for the AWD system)?

But I digress. Looks like a good price considering the body does need work. Someone save this R!

why would you sweat that? people will line up all day to trade a jdm front for a usdm front.

that car really is priced well for what all it includes. as long as the wiring isn't hacked to **** it would be an easy build

I don't know about that. All the ITR guys I know want absolutely nothing to do with the JDM front. The JDM front was hot at one time, but everyone with an Integra started doing it and it lost its luster.

This!!!

It's hard to swap, and I feel the OEM USDM front end will end up brining in more money very shortly.

I agree with you, but only related to the ITR pureists. I still think the kids will want the JDM front. I do think the USDM front will hold more value in the long run though. I'd rather have a stock R than a hacked up one with a JDM front.

Honestly, JDM is spending a large amount of money to make your stock car look like another stock car, its just a matter of taste in the end.

I've always thought that the JDM front went out of style as soon as the Type-R elitists realized that the price went down to the point that "regular Integra" owners could afford it. Once a lot of cars have it, it's no longer cool, right? So the elitist must revert to the argument that stock is best and everything else diminishes the value, spirit, and essence of the Type-R.

Did you just seriously post that?

Everyone I knew, since day 1, pretty much thought the JDM front was a silly modification. But, everyone I knew with an ITR was into autox or HPDE, so it was a crowd-specific mod. Who other than the showguys really spent $2500 for an appearance modification?

Plus, folks who truly knew what the car was knew that a JDM front would probably hurt resale as it was a somewhat permanent modification.

However, I'm not sure why I pissed away my time clearing this up. Obviously you have everyone in here stereotyped as an "ITR elitist", so my keystrokes are obviously a waste of time.

seems to be true, but, all the base model guys still want it. since the bumpers and cores are they same, that's the market to trade with

as for the other guys, the jdm front isn't an elitist thing. the ITR is just starting to be a collector car and mint stock examples worth the most. well, those and the handful that were raced in the early days by factory/pro teams
