Where do I start?
I just recently got my 1993 prelude si. My plans are to do the "h23 vtec" turbo setup. Resleeved and rebuilt with forged pistons, titanium valves ect. I just don't know where to start. I'd like to "unrice" the car because it has a kind of ricey look, but at the same time I'd like to do the head swap and performance upgrades first. I also know I should probably do suspension first for traction. As you can see I'm very confused and need you guys to help me make up my mind. Opinions are appreciated.
Here's the car.

I'm on the same train man, but I think most of the vets are busy... So it takes time to get some replies. Nice ride, I like the prelude with and without the spoiler. Just an awesome car.

My advice before embarking on a big project such as your planning is to
do plenty of research, a good place to start is the FAQ, which contains
a wealth of info. Also your gonna need to stat a budget to ensure you
can do all you plan too. Things can add up very quickly. Here is a good
link to some advice i read when i was first starting out and i found it
invaluable. All in all the more research you do the better.

I've done alot of research already and have made my goals. I don't really have a budget. Im turning 18 in less than a month, so I don't really have much responsibility, or bills to pay. Alot of the work will be done next year while im attending UTI in glendale heights, illinois. The plan for the car powerwise I will be doing the h22 head swap. I'll be rebuilding and having the block resleeved to boost. I'll probably end up going with the gt35r turbo Horsepower goal is 400-450. Looks wise..oem bumpers with accord type r front and rear lips and oem side skirts, new rims obviously and window tint. Suspension wise im not sure yet. Suggestions?
Just take off the side skirts and bumpers, and build teh motor. No need to fix the body first since it will be in a garage for awhile if your gonna pull the motor and build it.

I cant do that because this is the only car I have and need a way to get places lol. And I just feel like a loser driving a ricer around. I think what Im going to do is take off the lips, get the apexi n1 so I wont have this ugly dual exhaust, and put on oem side skirts, and the spoon front lip. No back lip for now. The engine is okay for now with thw intake headers it has and then the apexi i'll be buying until i get the money for the head swap and engine rebuild. Before that i will possibly get a new coat of paint from an old buddy who will cut me a deal on a paintjob. And Ill also be getting the new suspension and rims soon.
I have a front bumper side skirts and rear bumper if you want to buy them. The front bumper is a lil beat (no cracks) Just chips and stuff, side skirts are fine, and the back bumper is fine besides one crack...
It beats the ricer style yo!

I'll see what we got under these lips. I figured out today the back AND front just have lips on them, HUGE ones lol. So I'll see how it looks under the lips and get back to you. I'm not going to take them off until i get my n1
I have a white jdm bumper cover with the fog holes cut out, the yellow lens fogs, and oem sides skirts if your interested. You should really consider buying an entire motor off of hmotors. Since IN doesn't have smog you could save yourself alot of headaches.
to be completely honest, sell it and buy an oem one. i had one just like that (my current profile pic) and i wanted to put it back to oem, but i sold it for 2500 and bought an oem one for 1k. not sure how common ludes are around you but IMHO and experience thats what i would do.
be honest with yourself meng, there are a ton of better uses for the money. so unless if you're dedicated to the chassis, this build will likely never take place. you're talking about throwing 5k+ into a 1-2k car that started production before you were born lol. Priorities change and I'm almost certain burning money isn't high on the list.
Seeing as you have a huge budget, what do want to build this car for? Straight line acceleration? Autocrossing? Street driving only? etc etc....
Well I know priorities will change later on, which is why I want to spend the money I want now seeing as I won't be able to when I have more bills to pay. The plans for the car are a roadracing but streetable setup that I can take to the track every once in a while and have some fun.
