I'm looking for a sheet of Aluminum around 2x2 or 3x3 feet 11 guage dose matter what kind. Just want to get some good tig practice. Scrap would be great but if I have to get it new were and what should I look for/at

 

U should have a scrap yard near u that has scrap or new that u could pick up and practice on.

 

would a home depot or a lowes have something like this or any welding suppliers. If i wanted new and didn't want to hit the scrap yard.

 

Yea they have some metal but it's expensive, you should have some sort of metal supply place near you. That's where your gonna find big sheets like your looking for. Or stop at your local welding supply place and see if they can point you in the right direction as to where you can get some aluminum.

 

Look for job shops in your area and ask for drop off laser cutters and waterjets etc

 

or go to a scrapyard
