92-95 EG Cluster help
So i got my new cluster today and everything works but the Tach. it needs a green plug-in clip....
I have a 94 CX ..... i believe this cluster came from a EJ but im not sure ..
where would this green plug in be cause the only plug and play i see is my rear defroster but they dont work and the one for my fogs.

This is a plug-n-play swap. The only 2 plugs required for your set up are the two wide plugs that plug into each side of the cluster. The green CC is unnecessary. The yellow SRS plug also isn't necessary, though I recommend plugging it in if you have an airbag.
Tachs quit working so yeah, most likely a bad tach...get another cluster and move on. I've had a couple with bad tachs before.

so got another cluster and same problem tach isnt working ..... we tested it on another car (ej1) and it worked ... but on mines it doesnt (EG6) cx..... any ideas??
Theres a break in the wire between the igniter and the cluster, or a bad igniter, or you're using a '99 - '00 Distributor or '00 - '01 integra engine harness.
alright .. soo .. there is no cut wires or anything ... this car is complete stock .. other then .. new speakers, radio, fogs, and suspension .. engine was rebuild a while ago .. but ya .. its on the verge of blowing. 94EG8 what am i looking for ?
No problem, Just because you don't see anything cut, doesn't mean the wire isn't corroded or broken in the shield, most likely at a connector. There is a test procedure for tach signal, I will see if I can find it in my FSM.
I cant copy the igniter test page on this computer. But basically its the blue wire on the igniter that sends tach signal to the cluster. So either there is a break in that blue wire or your igniter is bad. If the test procedure is not in the FAQ, I can post it up tomorrow.
Edit: it's in the FAQ
