I need to know if there are any major differences in the ef2 sedan bumper and the usdm 90-91 bumper. I know the minor differences such as license plate location, no chrome strip in the molding, and the reinforcement bar difference. I need to to know if there are any other major differences that would prevent it from working with the rest of the jdm ef2 front end.

i have a 90 hb and i put a usdm front 4door bumper. and it doesnt line up where the fender and bumper meet. the 4 door bumper was 1/2 inch too long, idk if that helps

I already have an ef2 front end I have mocked it up and everything. That first picture you posted is a ef2 front end with an ef9 front bumper. The real ef2 front bumper looks more like the stock 90-91 front bumper. I am just asking if the usdm 90-91 front bumper will work with my ef2 front end. The ef2 bumper that came with my conversion has deep scratches and the chrome molding has been ripped out. There is no way to fix that. I was trying to find a reasonable replacement and the 90-91 usdm is almost identical to the ef2 front bumper but has some subtle differences.

Not like it helps this thread any, but the EF9 bumper needed spacers to get the bumper out of the wheel well - it would touch the tires without spacers.

 

I bought a usdm front bumper I'll post up what i find out!

Made it up to see Kyle at Kirks Kustoms, got some answers:
EX bumper is on the right and EF2 bumper on the left.

I thought about taking some exact measurements but in the end they are virtually identical. There a couple small differences such as the license plate mounting location: Ef 2 its in the grill, EX is on the molding, the Molding: EF2 has a chrome strip, Ex doesnt. Grill: the EF2 is open in the top part of the grill, EX has one closed slit at the very top of the grill. I had read that the EF2 was a hair longer which is true. When i say longer if you look at the second picture you can see from floor to top of the bumper the EX is a bit shorter but not enough to be worried about. The good thing is because of my intercooler this isnt an issue because I wont be using a bumper beam. I will use steel round tub to space out the bumper to where it needs to be. So the bottom line is it will work and i think it will look like it was meant to be a part of the front end. Just thought I would share my findings.
