ok the vtec oil pressure sensor bolts into a housing on the back left side of the head RIGHT under the valve cover.. i need the name of that housing... just snapped it off the part the sensor bolts onto trying to tighten the sensor.. it go tto where it should have started tightening... ( not finger tight) and snapped off before it would tighten at all





the housing with the blue cap on ti... sensor bolts into, i brok ethe housing while tightening new sensor on it...

 

you got a pic cause as far as i know the vtec oil pressure sensor is attached the the body of the vtec solenoid

 

And what motor are we talking?

 

d16z6 and is teh vtec solenoid the part that is bolted to the head with the plastic cylinder looking thing pointing up ( i think, mine has a blue metal cap over it). ill edit my post and add a pic

 

ok i figured out the part... is is the vtec solenoid. now anyone know where i can get a d16 vtec solenoid? been searching a while with no luck

 

I couldn't list them off for you, but I know some VTEC solenoids work for various engines, models and years.

so you might want to look up the part number on a site such as hondapartsdeals.com and then do a Google search or search on here for the part number so you can figure out other cars that use the same one.

 

It's the vtec pressure switch......comes off the spool valve (vtec solenoid)
