Default slightly improved times....CRX hybrid

decided to go run at the last minute last night(sacramento Raceway)
this is in my CRX with a B18C swap...only H/E...stripped...stock 200k suspension

two weeks ago i was very disapointed at my 15.1@95mph

last night: lauched the car at 3200...dropped the clutch...STILL BOGGED

(best run)
Reaction 1.144
I1 2.477
I2 6.468
I3 9.731
I4 12.476

E.T. 14.835
MPH 95.941

this is actually the first time i hit anything better than a 2.5 60ft...yes i know thats sad but i think im getting use to my car...slowly but surely....

the runs were made on GSR rims with pilots 20psi....my guess is if i drop my 60ft another tenth of a second i can probably run 14.6

Edit: forgot to mention i have CM stage 3 and flywheel....running a Y-1 non-LSD...stock P72

Pick the revs up and let the clutch out slower. Did you play with your tyre pressures??? Mid 14's await you!!

yea i was dropping the clutch all night...and i never messed with the Psi...only kept it at 21psi tire pressure....i figured they wouldnt really matter too much since they are michelins anyway...

a buddy suggested holding up the e-brake and holding revs at 2.5k...letting the ebrake go as it hits green...how does that sound?

My launch technique (netting 2.3x's) is as follows:

- Scuff the tires slightly, just to get rocks out or whatever.
- Stage
- E-Brake
- Revs to 4.5k
- Let out clutch till car rocks forward against E-Brake (This kinda pre-loads the drive train)
- On 3rd yellow release E-Brake, smash the gas, and moderately release the clutch.

This gives decent wheel spin off the line, but doesn't roast. Tires hook up by about 7k in first.

This is all at 30 psi on Yoko A520's

Dropping the clutch is for the burnout hehehe. You've got to play around with your setup!!!! Unfortunately at my track I have to hold the E brake on as there is a lump that forces your car forward if you don't. I drilled the E brake handle and fitted a rivet that holds the button in so all you have to do is drop it on the last yellow.

You need more revs than 2.5 but you gotta ride the clutch A LITTLE...

BTW. Only try this with an aftermarket clutch, cause you will glaze the hell out of a stock clutch. Glazing is bad.
