Default Del Sol Start-up

I own a 93 Del Sol Si that has been sitting for almost a year. I'm going to start working on it when it gets warmer, and want to know what precautions I should take with it, i.e: how to get it running without damaging the engine changing the fluids and such. Also, would the battery be OK with a recharge, or get a new one, things like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated . . .

Here are a few obvious suggestions:

-Drain & refill engine oil
-Take the battery to an auto parts store for charging and testing
-Drain the gas tank and put in fresh gas

I agree completely with RonJ@ht.
Here is a link to some good info on gas. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Can_you_mi...h_new_gasoline
Also if the battery is left on its own without a charge for to long, the cells in it can die and you would need to replace the whole battery. Autozone has great warranties on their batteries so i never worry about this, cuz if it happens you just go in and they give you a new one.
