1994 accord idles rough
i am thinking of buying this 1994 honda accord tomarrow with 195,000 miles and the only thing wrong with it it is idles a bit rough. Any suggestions on what to look for to fix it?
It could be several things.
Plugs, wires, distributor. (easy)
Oil getting into the spark plugs (grommets inside the valve cover and more gaskets under the rockers. 8 total). (valve cover ones are easy, the others take more time)
IACV might need to be cleaned (easy)
You could check the FITV but that's usually a problem only when it idles high and holds there.
I doubt it's a fuel problem because if the pump was faulty, the car wouldn't turn on or it would stall out eventually.

i think im gunna go ahead and nab this car up and do the small simple things first. and then if its still rough ill take it to the shop and have them fix it. If it was a stuck valve wouldn't the CEL come on?
