Default reverse my chipped ECU?

Quick one.
I searched, but nobody is in the business of un-chipping their ECU.

I have a P28 ECU thats chipped with a B18b turbo build.
I have the old D16z6 in the garage right now being rebuilt for gas mileage. (for when gas prices skyrocket)

Can I remove the chip and it will go back to being tuned for my d16z6?
Or do I have to purchase and install a new chip thats loaded with the stock d16z6 tune?

I was thinking that might be the solution. Thanks
