'02 Si stalls at stop
When I pull into a parking spot, or a red light and engage the clutch to come to a stop my car's rpms go to zero and the car shuts off. Any help?
Thanx!
Thanx!
Does it start right back up afterwards? Alternator comes to mind, maybe not keeping a charge on the battery but then the car would have a hard time starting up if even at all. Had this problem in my old AE86 with an alternnator plug. Otherwise I'm not sure, sounds like quite the predicament hehe.
If I throw it into neutral before getting below 2000 rmp when coming to a stop it does not stall. I've also noticed when in neutral and I push the clutch in there is a slight noise with some drop and/or hesitation. The car does not stall and pulling out is not a problem. Nor is there any problem go up and down through gears except when coming to a stop. It seems that when there is a load on the motor when coming to a stop it stalls. This seems to indicate that the clutch is not disengaging fully. Could be master cylinder, slave, release bearing or clutch. I'll start with the master cylinder. Easiest and not to expensive. 180k miles so why not. Any input would help and be much appreciated. No need to point out spelling errors
