84 honda civic not starting
I have a Honda Civic CVCC it was running fine til I changed the spark plugs and now it will not start, even with starter fluid. It is getting fuel when you open the throttle you can see fuel drip down, so I think the fuel is okay. The compression is 135, 133, 130, 133 so I think the compression is okay I could be wrong. When I pulled the plug on the first wire and hooked it up to a old spark plug I put it on the valve cover and did not see spark. What I have on it so far is a new coil, new wires, new plugs, and recently cap and rotor about 6 months old. So what else should I do or look for?

Points are a lot easier, when they get pitted, they require more energy, and one day the car does not start.
May be the dwell is off, this is the gap when the points open, the gap is too wide for the spark to jump, reduce the gap and see what is happening. The dwell is an angle measurement done with a test equipment.
Time to change points and the condenser so the points do not get burned too fast. You can try to lightly sand the points as a test measure, but never recommended as the points are coated with exotic metal... it used to be platinum.

Sorry to write back so late guys. I fixed the ignition problem. I ended up replacing the points, and condenser now it is getting spark but it backfires. Any ideas about the backfire?
Don't worry about late reply.... you will get late answers.
Glad to read that you have spark.
As for the backfiring:
Recheck the spark plug wires order from distributor cap to cylinder you may have one that is off order, 1,3,4,2 is the order. with cylinder one being the one by the belt/pulley.
