Default ITR died while driving.

I was driving fairly slow through a parking lot and the car just completely died with no warning. I noticed the oil light was on. I didn't hear any strange noises or feel anything wrong.

I then started it up, it was fine enough to where i could park. So when i came back out to my car and driving home, i was coming to a stop and it died again. Same thing no check engine light just the oil light. Oil level is perfect as i just had the oil changed not more than a week ago.

I then started it up again and i drove all the way home with no problems. I have been noticing that it has been having idling issues when it's cold sometimes and it will die. It will sputter kinda bad and when it warms up it'll be fine.

I have a few ideas in mind but wanna see what you guys might think

Any input will be appreciated.

this may or may not help.

When i had my project gsr i was having a similar issue, i'd come to a stop and the car would die. Turned out to be a corroded ground strap. Replaced it and the issue never returned. Stupid me though i replaced the distibutor, starter and battery cables before finding this out.

good luck

What kind of maintenance have you done on it in terms of:
spark plugs, wires, dizzy cap/rotor, fuel filter, vtec fluid?

I replaced the cap, rotor, fuel filter and plugs before i drove out to Tx about 8 months ago. i've put about 3500 miles total since then. I even cleaned out the iacv valve too.

That's exactly why i didn't want to jump to conclusions thanks for the input. I'll have to check that.

My first instinct would be either the ignitor inside the distributor (my CRX died while driving and wouldn't start again), or perhaps the main relay (my CRX occasionally wouldn't start because of this). Those things are worth checking into...

Make sure the fuel pump is getting power by listening to the fuel pump priming for 2 seconds with the key in the ACC position. I would say do this first since it's an easy check.
